The bearings on two of the drum support rollers had failed, causing the rollers to seize and wear flat spots. The drive belt was also worn thin and cracked from rubbing against the stalled rollers.
Unplugged the dryer and removed the top and front panels.
Released tension on the idler pulley and slipped off the worn drive belt.
Lifted the drum out of the cabinet to access the front and rear bulkheads.
Removed the seized drum rollers from their axles and cleaned the axle shafts.
Installed four brand-new heavy-duty drum support rollers.
Replaced the idler pulley assembly and threaded the new OEM drive belt around the drum.
Set the drum back on the rollers, manually rotated it to verify alignment, and reassembled.
